Pulitzer Prize-winning Austin American-Statesman cartoonist Ben Sargent and a half-dozen Democratic candidates for various statewide offices will be among the guests Sept. 16 at a banquet benefiting the Brazos County Democratic Party (7 p.m. at the Briarcrest Country Club) The event will feature 2008 U.S. Senate candidates Rick Noriega, Mikal Watts and Emil Reichstadt, railroad commissioner candidate Dale Henry and Texas Supreme Court candidates Susan Criss and Linda Yanez.
